Budget London Hotels: Boulevard Hotel (part 2)

Posted by admin on December 31, 1969

The previously mentioned in the last post Boulevard Hotel in London is a bed and breakfast type hotel. The last time I was there I had a cosy single room. It wasn’t very big, but you should keep in mind that most European hotel rooms tend to be smaller in comparison to North American hotel rooms. So the room size was just average for this type of budget London hotels. The floors and built-in closet, working desk and coffee shelf were made of a bright light wood: looked modern and stylish. The en-suite bathroom was very clean and cute; the hairdryer was available in the bathroom. Coffee/tea maker and the small flat screen TV hanging at the foot of the bed were the bonuses of the room. Boulevard Hotel London is an all no-smoking hotel, so you are not allowed to in your room either. Breakfast was included in the room rate, it was basic (I usually had toasts, cereals, croissants and coffee, satisfactory), but more than enough to start you off.

The tip for the Boulevard Hotel London is that you should better ask rooms at the back of the building if you are a light sleeper, because the front of the hotel overlooks a bus stop, the busses usually run until late at night and rooms are not equipped with double glazed windows – a little bit noisy.

So, in summary, one of the budget hotels in London - Boulevard Hotel London is a reasonably priced, clean but basic bed and breakfast with friendly and prompt staff and a great central location. I would recommend it for travelers both for business stopovers and tourism.

Bye!
